About Me
Hello! I’m Ciara, the face behind Dougie & Co. My journey with dogs began when I was just 3 years old and since then, they’ve been an important part of my life. Growing up with dogs gave me a deep love and understanding of these wonderful animals, shaping my career and personal life.
I am a dedicated volunteer at Dogs Trust at their Dog School, where I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with a variety of dogs and learning from experienced professionals in the field. My academic background includes a BSc in Animal Behaviour, which has gave me a solid foundation to understanding canine behaviour. Starting in September 2024, I will be pursuing an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training, further enhancing my knowledge and skills to provide the best care for your pets.
Meet My Dogs
1. Daisy:
Daisy is a Jack Russell X Sealyham Terrier, who at the age of 15, is our oldest dog. Despite her age, she still enjoys beach walks and the occasional game of fetch with Dexter. Daisy’s favourite pastime is snoring loudly in a sunspot and turning her nose up at dog food in favour of any human treats she can get her paws on.
2. Dexter:
Dexter is a Labradoodle X Lurcher. Although he’s getting on in years, he still thrives on running around the beach with his ball and then relaxing on the sofa. Dexter has a habit of claiming any vacated spot immediately, he’ll be right there taking your place!
3. Dougie:
Dougie, the name behind Dougie & Co, is a Longhaired "Miniature" Dachshund. Although he's not very miniature!! He's not a fan of morning walks, preferring to stay snuggled up in bed. But he loves exploring new places & tagging along on group walks once he's had his lie in.
